Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden series

Has anyone here read the series by Jim Butcher revolving around his character Harry Dresden, the world’s only professional wizard (centered in Chicago of all places)?

His books are awesome. Every time I start one, I finish it in one day or two - which is significant for me because with other books I read a little and then switch to another book a short a while (an hour or two) after.

They’re quite stirring too. At times they’ve even made me come close to crying. In any case, definitely “can’t put down” books.

WRS/Thû - sometimes I wish magic were true

I’ve read the first two and I understand there’s been talk of a TV show (many people were excited and speculation sets James Marsters as Dresden because he reads them on audio).

I’d love to get more of them, but I don’t have much change for books and the library doesn’t carry them. I need to bug them about that, they sometimes take suggestions.

I’ve read all of them. Very well written series and has managed to keep my interest. I wish Harry and the police captain lady would just get together already though.

I have read them all and am enjoying them a lot. The “hard boiled detective” mixed with magic is a fun combination. I’ll read his new series too, but will probably wait until all three are out.

Just read number 6. Felt a little different, like Harry was more in control this time through. Not completely in control mind you, just more so. Met Butcher at Worldcon in Sept., seemed like a nice guy but I didn’t get to talk to him much.
