When the ‘War on Islam’ comes to the forefront – of course after they cancel the United States National Rahmadan Celebration Parade – I’m sure the vitriol meter will center itself nicely.
It’s funny that a city calling a holiday parade a “holiday parade” is persecution, but trying to force the government to prevent American citizens from building a faith based community center is just dandy since it’s a religion the righties don’t like.
The other religions don’t need any bashing above and beyond what the Christians are already doing. The atheists are just trying to even the score a little.
I think you mean it’s disproportionate, but regardless, the answer is that not all atheists bash religion(s) for the same reason. Some think all religions are equally terrible, but other have different opinions that are based on their interpretations of how offensive each religion is and how much harm it causes. And like I said, most of the posters here are in the U.S., and the U.S. population is predominantly Christian.
I can’t either. I think the poster said something about wishing Christians would disappear, but I don’t remember the specifics.
Now wait a gosh darned patootin’ minute! I was under the impression after reading the preceding posts that it was the atheists that were offended and/or persecuted on a daily basis because Christianity was pervading every facet of their life daily.

See other people aren’t ignoramuses and they realize that there’s lots of other holidays that come around the same time. Most people think, “the more the merrier”.
Atheists should start celebrating the embarking of the HMS Beagle voyage. It was Dec. 27, but it could be moved to Dec. 25 to really take the Christ out of Christmas. Happy Evolution! Put up Darwin trees decorated with fossils and in your yard figures of tortoises and giant sloths. :o

If you’re talking about my post, I wasn’t saying this at all but actually quite the opposite, pointing out that religion-themed billboards have been going up for years* without anybody batting an eyelash but the minute one specifically atheist billboard is erected, Christians go apeshit. Let’s just blame that mix-up on the egg nog.
