For me, too, it was always “the Joker got away.” The alternatives offered in this thread don’t seem to work as well, IMHO.
As evidence that my computer is spying on me, soon after I read this thread, YouTube suggested this video to me (which focuses more on alternatives for the second line than the fourth one):

The guy who taught it to me specified that there were two versions, and taught me both.
I learned it as “Listerine”, but my cousin who learned it the same school year but in the Atlanta area learned it as gasoline.
