Of course I was kind of hoping this thread was about her appearing in Playboy.
Is Jin still around the SDMB? Given her poverty level (as described on her livejournal) I guess the use fee might have made this too much a luxury for her.

Apparently she’s mildly annoyed because everyone here is congratulating Jin and saying they miss her and that they would be willing to pay for her subscription, but they don’t miss her enough to pay attention when she posts what’s actually going on as to why she no longer posts. Sort of sounds fake.
I understand what she’s saying and I sympathize. But, to be honest, I almost never interacted with jinwicked in too many threads, but she did have some interesting things to say. But I honestly don’t pay any attention to the personal lives of most Dopers here, unless it’s something truly tragic like a death.
I had forgotten that she wasn’t posting anymore and I happened to see her linked on the S*P site and got exciting because I had a passing acquaintance with. That’s all. I get excited by even my faintest brushes with fame.
Anyway, I don’t want to make anyone feel bad and I don’t think this thread is heading to anything good, so could a Mod close it, please? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Incidentally, when I said “Sounds sort of fake” I didn’t mean Jin’s complaint sounded fake, I meant that the people saying they miss her so much sound fake.
As for the other thread…I dunno. Too many painful memories. 
The Lakers may trade Shaq, they may lose Kobe to jail, but hey, they apparently get to keep Payton another year. Joy.
