Snookie is wondering where the hell he saw this (Joan Cusak saying “all I want is some pie” she may or may not have added, ‘is that so wrong?’ . I did a whole bunch of searches and came up with references to the scene but not where it was from, (one of the searches even suggested that the scene is the origin of the internet ‘when come back, bring pie’ stuff).
By any chance, could it have been from the movie In & Out ? One of the subplots was that Joan Cusack’s character had dieted off something like 60 pounds.
I have never seen In & Out -but I know exactly what you are referring to. Unfortunately I do not recall where I saw it either. I could have sworn it was in a commercial.
I’m pretty sure it’s in a great scene that stood out in this otherwise mundane movie. Cusack is in this great poofy white wedding dress, outside in the middle of the street at night. And she just melts down, eventually collapsing into the folds of the dress as she utters the lines in question. At the end, she resembles some bizzarre wedding anenome folding in upon itself.
yea, I can kinda picture her, drunk, apologetic and all, saying that line, and in a big pouffy wedding dress would fit, I’ve seen the movie, but don’t remember that that was the line in it, and, agree w/ Otto that I’m not sure I’d want to watch it again to see if it is.
thanks so far, and certainly if anyone has a clear rememberance of it, feel free to add it in. thanks again.
That’s a line from the movie, though, not the actual movie. If anyone still cares I’m guessing it’s from Toys with Robin Williams, solely based on process-of-elimination. I can see the scene in my mind, have never seen In-and-Out, but did see Toys within the last three years.
