What does that mean?
Sometimes followed by EoE, which I believe means equal opportunity employer.
TIA,
Steve
i’m pretty sure it’s:
male female veteran disabled
Male/Female/Veteran/Disability.
EoE is Equal Opportunity Employer, yes.
What no Eskimoes! The Prejudice bastard’s j/k
Does this mean that they desire M/F/V/D, or that they do not discriminate against that group?
I’ve also seen EoE on things like adverts. I think it can also mean Errors and Omissions Excepted, meaning anything written can be changed without notice.
Not Male/Female/Veteran/Disability, but Minority/Female/Vietnam veteran/Disability. It’s newspaper classified ad shorthand for “Minorities, women, Vietnam veterans and those with physical disabilities are encouraged to apply.”
Why limited to Vietnam veterans? In the not-to-distant past (late 1970s), Vietnam vets were the victims of some discrimination with regards to housing and employment, when they returned to the United States after their tour of duty. “They’re all heroin users,” “They’ll get shell shock if someone drops something in the office,” and so on were commonly held beliefs.
