Suddenly, all those Nigerian prince scams seem like a much more reasonable source of income.
I’ve gotta ask: What’s the investment?
Whoosh
Yeah, you stole from your wife.
Collectables… I don’t want to say what type in case it would lead to more competition.
On the off chance that you’re serious, read this advice and consider how it applies to you.
In short, financial advisors asked whether investing in collectibles is wise repeatedly offer the same pieces of advice:
- Only if you’re an absolute expert in the pricing systems of the collectible (this means like it’s your profession, not that you’ve read a few magazines and websites about it).
- Treat it as speculation/play money/money you’re burning.
- Collect because it’s fun, not as an investment strategy.
If you’re borrowing money from your wife to cover collectibles purchases, that’s not an accurate description: that’s stealing in order to pay for an addiction.
You appear to be hemorrhaging money at this scheme already. I don’t think competition is your problem.
JC, this is, no doubt, your baptism by fire whereby Christianity is making its presence known to you in mysterious ways. It’s your find God by way of eBay spiritual enlightenment. Unfortunately, in your case, I believe God is going to go old school in smiting you with locusts, frogs raining from the sky, Holy Trinity knees to the groin and turning you into a homosexual after giving your wife DD breasts. Hallelujah!
Or, maybe not.
Unfortunately, religiosity and spending money heedlessly are two pretty good markers of a manic upswing.
You really think you are the only one who has thought of buying these things to resell?
Is this a put on? If not, its just sad.
I said more competition. There are already people selling it on eBay - sometimes for US$90 each while I paid $14 - $20 each.
Well I have been hospitalized for mania before. I bought 20 Diablo 2 t-shirts for $5 each but had a hard time selling them. BTW I heard that entrepreneurs usually fail in their early attempts.
I think my wife’s breasts are DD. They are whoppers.
More competition means lower prices for the public and lower profits for me and that would make it harder to repay my debts.
Cite!
BTW it is one specific collectable which I will have about 30 of when they arrive in the post. Normally people on this other site buy one at a time but I bought every one they had - one time I bought 14. I pay $14 to $20 each. On that site some people pay more than $40. On eBay they pay about $40 to $80.
It is like my investment in Diablo 2 t-shirts. Normally people had to get the game with the shirt. The thing people have to buy to get this collectable is hundreds of dollars.
I know the prices of this exact item on eBay and on a wholesaler network since it was first released. I see it as an addiction too though.
I have been collecting the other items in the set as a hobby.
Selling? Or asking?
On eBay some have sold for about $80 but right now there’s a lot for $30.
