I’ve only played twice here and once IRL. I’ve also followed a few Dope Mafia games, read some old ones, and done some desultory reading on the mafiascum wiki. And yet I don’t feel like a newbie. You pick it up pretty fast.
Playing in person is completely different, by the way.
Kinda like the Murder parties that I would live host in the 80’s where everyone was given a role and some info that they needed to work into conversations and everyone tried to figure out who the Murderer was. I would print out all of the info for each person on using my Apple II+:rolleyes:

Speaking of being in the n00bship, what do phrases like “5/2” and “4/2” mean? If you played with a 5/2 format, are 5 real world days 2 game days? Or vice versa?
5/2 means five 24-hour days make up one game Day, while two 24-hour days make up one game Night, so a Day and Night take up one week of real world time.
So what time zone are we basing this game in?
I mean, in which time zone is the game to be based?
(It seems ALL of my skills are failing me.)

The reason I like the 5/2 schedule is because the nights always fall on weekends which makes things easy for everyone.
Maybe I’ll do a 4/2 and just make sure that no Day starts on a weekend, extending nights when necessary.
EST or EDT? Not that it matters after November 1st, anyway.

FTR, my last post was a (weak) joke. Though it is possible it will have a bearing on the game :).
Also, not that it should matter on a 5/2 or 4/2 schedule, but I’m currently on BST, which will revert to GMT this Saturday night.
