I agree that women are facing greater risk but I think the above statement doesn’t accurately describe most men. I wouldn’t mind if my date laughed at me, provided that she wasn’t being cruel, derisive, condescending, etc. In fact, I would say that it’s usually a good sign. I’m talking about something trivial like bumping into something or maybe a misunderstanding of some sort. If I were laughed at cruelly, etc. I would probably be disappointed, creeped out, etc. more than anything else, just as I would if I were treated that way by anyone else.
