Who would win in Survivor, Jon or Rob?
Jon - more devious. Has plans laid out in advance of the game.
Rob - more tactical. Can maneuver people.
So I think Rob.
Rob, he was likeable. If a jury had to pick between the two, at least Rob made them laugh and wasn’t a complete asshole.
Are you talking about Rob from a couple of surviviors ago?
They’re talking about Rob from Amazon, not Robbbbbb from Thailand or BostonRob from Marquesas…
But it’s not really that easy. It would depend on who got stabbed in the back by who, and who was aware of the backstabbing at the jury. We’re seeing Jon the weasel for the scunbag that he is, but it’s being hid from the jury. So far I don’t think he’s actually betrayed anyone (except for Ti and Sandra hearing him and Burton talking about them). As I remember, Rob had pissed off more than a few people he played by the time he got snuffed, so Jon might actually win in this scenario.
Also several of the survivors that have been voted off have said that while he was a goofball, they didn’t actually hate Jon as much as we the viewers do. As always, we only see 40 minutes out of a 72 hour period, so there’s a lot we don’t know.
Along those lines, has anyone seen the DVDs of survivor? I just wonder if there’s a lot more info on them that might shed a little more light on what really happens that we do get to see.
Was Amazon the one before this one? That’s the one Survivor I didn’t watch.
Well, Jon has now taken his vows as a brother of the night watch, and Rob is dead. So I don’t see either of them doing very well…
I’ve never watched the DVDs, but the customer reviews on Amazon were poor. The DVDs are not of the full season, just a “best of” compilation that leaves out many of the best moments and doesn’t have much new footage. Very disappointing because if they did sell full season sets, I’d buy all of them. Maybe we ought to start a petition and send it to CBS? The Doper who runs realitynewsonline would be ideal to set it up, but I forgot his username.
I confess I was caught completely offguard by Rob’s death. I mean, it was obvious something was afoot, but I didn’t expect treachery on quite such a grand scale.
On the other hand, Jon is no mere brother, but Lord Commander, and with Stannis showing up at the Wall out of the blue, might not do too badly at all.
I’m thoroughly creeped out by the apparent resurrection of Catelyn, though.

Rod already lost, so it can’t be him. I think Jon is too despised to win. He’ll be a good guy to take with you to the final 2 and then get the jury to vote for you.
Oh poor poor Kid. Yes, Amazon was the last one. This is the Rob I was talking about. And it was arguably the best Survivor series because of how Rob was able to manipulate EVERYBODY. Jeff Probst said that Rob was the smartest Survivor player not to win. I don’t think that Jeff meant with the “not to win” comment that Rob wasn’t smarter than any of the winners. Rob was the smartest survivor player yet.* If you can watch it Survivor Amazon, do so. If you get to watch it, look at Deena. She was brilliant. Unbelievably so. She was a real threat. I thought she and Rob would fight it out. But somehow she was voted off fairly early. Don’t know if Rob saw her as a threat and took her out, but that’s the impression I got.
*But Jon sure is trying to supplant Rob.
