Survivor 5/11/11

Oh, joy! It’s a production of Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? staged in a lean-to!

It looks like the editors were setting up Rob for an big fall on Sunday night. I hope so. I don’t have much against Rob, other than I don’t anyone should get 2 bites at the apple, let alone 3 or 4.

Grant, Ashley and Natalie got more air-time tonight than the rest of the season combined.

Good job by Ashley to win the IC/RC.

Anyone see exactly what they ordered in their 3 course meal. It looked like Ashley got a pepperoni pizza and they both got a chocolate/fudge/whipped cream dessert. Look good.

I don’t think I would got a pizza (mainly because I am picky about my pizza) but I didn’t see what else was available. I would have gone with protein.

Why was Phillip not wearing his swimming trunks?

this season is predictable. There hasn’t been a good twist so far; I’d honestly rather see one of the RI people win than any of those left in the game.

I foresee a horrible finale where the final three are the two girls and Philip. *Then *what do you do!?

That would easily top Thailand as the worst group of finalists. But I don’t see that happening. Ashley winning immunity was a fluke. I bet Rob or the RIer will win th last immunity challenge.

Also, was anyone else surprised when Ashley won immunity? The last few episodes have all gone:
“Our plan will work as long as X doesn’t win immunity.”
X doesn’t win immunity.
X goes home.

I think it was a big mistake for Rob to get rid of Grant. I just feel Grant would have stuck with Rob, whereas Natalie and Ashley could very easily team up with the RI returnee and boot him out.

It’ll be interesting to see if the the hidden immunity idol plays a role.

Yeah, I wonder if Rob didn’t realize how much Grant was really eating out of his hand. From my perspective breaking up the girl power couple would’ve been the smartest move.
It really is unbelievable how much Rob has dominated this game: it really seems like none of the other contestants have ever watched Survivor before. I guess it’s harder than it seems to remove your emotions from the game and play strategically the whole way through.
Rob deserves to win… but Phillip may very well team up with the girls to take him out. Phillip has burned so many bridges though, I really don’t think there’s any way he can possibly win.

Rob is still pretty much in control of this game. If Natalie and Ashely go against him when the RI member comes back, Rob still has the HII that he can play.

Who ever comes back from RI has to be voted off again. There is no way any of the Survivers left can beat anyone from RI.

My guess is that Ashely will attempt to blind side Rob with Natalie and the RI member. Rob will ask for Natalie’s support, but won’t tel her he has the HII. At tribal he’ll play the HII to be on the safe side, and whoever came back from RI will go home.

Yup. But I think that Rob was thinking more about his final jury plea than anything else. Plus, as you say - he has one final move, the HII.

Who knows what the HII rule is this for this year, but IIRC, the HII was only good through day 36.

Wow, how uneducated is Ralph? I wouldn’t be surprised if he is nearly illiterate. He cannot spell anyone’s name correctly and he was completely lost on assembling that puzzle. He might as well tried to assemble the puzzle with the pieces upside down.

Our plan will work as long as the person from RI doesn’t win immunity. Person from RI wins immunity. Rob plays idol. Ashley joins the jury.

On a side note, I must mention that Natalie’s yellow bikini has been the star this week. The little pyramid nipples poking out above her chest buff in nearly every scene are just too cute!

Her post-meal prone position left me…awe struck. She’s a professional dancer - and it shows.

who really wants to see rob win. I havn’t liked him on any of the episodes. He has received a lot of money for any survior he did plus i think him or his wife won the extra money for being the favorite. Plus they won the amazing race. Do we really want to give them more money. he is just really cocky and rude.

So you registered just to say a whole bunch of stuff that’s wrong? I can understand not liking a character - Og knows I don’t like a lot of reality show people - but do a little homework. He’s giving a master class on how to play Survivor, and it’s the only thing that’s been interesting, up until last night. Now things are getting shaken up, at least, and I’m looking forward to Sunday. I just hope it isn’t someone from Redemption Island that wins. I hate this twist.
I wonder if Grant will realize that Matt’s father is his old team doctor while they are on RI together…

Amber won Survivor All-stars, neither of them were the “favorite” vote. The best they did on the Amazing Race was 2nd place.
Rob managed to get rid of every smart player (of which there were not many) early in the game and now he’s playing against a bunch of naive, gullible amateurs. I wasn’t rooting for him to win in the beginning but he clearly has outclassed everybody. He seems to be the only one that actually thinks ahead.
Grant was an NFL player, so I think he’ll be OK on money. The girls can get their payday from Playboy - they sure as hell don’t deserve to win.
I hope Matt doesn’t win, he’ll probably donate all his money to Scientology after Tom Cruise converts him.

I do. He’s played the game perfectly, did exactly what he’s supposed to in order to win the game, and played everyone to a “T”. Its made for a boring season, but he’s been a master strategist.

I am 100% in Rob’s camp, but he didn’t handle the situation with Grant very well… I think he would have gotten more respect had he cut Natalie, and Grant could garner many votes if he returns from RI and makes it to the final 3.

Grants NFL career consisted of six games with San Diego and he did not catch a single pass (he was a wide receiver.) He was on the practice squad with Denver and Tennessee. His total earnings were probably around $250,000.

Steve Wright, although he played before the big money era, played for ten years and probably made a couple million.

IMO, at this point, if anyone from R.I. gets to FTC, they will win this edition of Survivor.

Yeah, thanks a lot for living down to the stereotype, Ralph! :smack:

And I think Rob made a mistake in not splitting up the women.
