Joss Whedon talks about making a Spike-movie !

From here:

Okay. I’m soo writing an e-mail to whomever is in charge there that I demand that this Spike-movie is made. Come on, we’re talking the most charming, witty, moving, street-wise vampire on TV today.

If it’s not set within season 5 then I’m not interested. I was satisfied with the ambiguous ending to the series and I don’t really want a continuation.

Of course I’m so Joss’s bitch that when it gets made I’ll watch it. Damn it. But seriously, if Joss is planning on returning to the Buffyverse I’d rather see a Faith series or something following the rebuilding of the Watchers’ Council.

I’d love to see the long-rumored Ripper series about Giles’ adventures and training before coming to Sunnydale (or possibly about Giles and Andrew rebuilding the Watchers; I’ve heard both versions). Giles and Wesley were my favorite Buffyverse characters by far, so it would be awesome to see more of at least one of them.

But I’ve heard rumors that Willow, Illyria, and Andrew would appear in this Spike movie, if it ever gets off the ground.

I hope they hurry, or James Marsters might actually start looking his age.

Awesome. I’d love to see those characters again.

I wish Joss would plan another series instead of a movie. A 2-hour Spike movie would be great, but a new show set in the Buffyverse would be a dream come true.

I’m interested only if it is a prequel set in the time before Spike became Buffy-whipped.

I’ll watch the show and buy the DVD no matter what, because it’ll be worth it, but I agree with Otto that I’d rather not know anything definitive about what happened after “Not Fade Away.”
