I’m just wondering on the official position on Fowl Language here. It seems to pass in the Pit, where else am i allowed to say what else?
Just want to know what’s going on (i never seem to, but some fine day… who knows?)

You have a little more latitude in the Pit, we tend to let the occasional four letter expletive deleted go past.
However, for the rest of the board, we expect you to be not exactly on Sunday manners but do be considerate of the sensibilities of others. And it’s also a question of context: is what you’re saying appropriate to the place and time? A rant in the Pit has different language than a query in ATMB. It better have, anyway, or I’m gonna be all over you like stink on sh–well, you’ll get some other words from me, I guarantee. 
This is yet another good reason to use the “preview” button before you send your posting off to the ether. Though here’s a good rule of thumb for you; if you have to ask yourself if that’s a good word choice, usually it’s not.
