Home at last! We’re going to Cracker Barrel for supper because I’m craving their Firday fish fry special. As soon as **FCD **showers, we’ll take off. Which is good, 'cause I’s hongree! The salad I had for lunch wasn’t very satisfying.
I’m still sick and I’m trying not to cough because my roommate hates my coughing.
Anyone have tips on how not to cough? I’ve already got a few medications, so any other tips would be welcome.
Majik intartoobz pizza and sallit have been consumed. The sallit made the pizza healthy. That’s what sallit does, right?
Midget you have a cough. You are tryin’ to get over your cough. Roomie will have to deal. If necessary we can send out the PSWSLS to convince roomie to deal.
Home finally. Today was just dragging along. Thank God tis weekend though. I shall be cross with whomever wakes me in the morning. This includes dogs and cats. It would be so much easier on all concerned if they would just let Mommy sleep in.
I went with the little cheese cakes. Actually it’s six strawberries dipped in chocolate as well as three little cheesecakes also dipped in chocolate.
It bothers me a bit that my mother won’t get to eat most of it because of the niece and kids being there, but she loved them last year and at least they won’t add clutter to the hoard.
So much for a baby gate with a door for small animals to get through.
The gate came today and Sah-son put it up. Although he is going to have to do it over because it needs to be screwed in place, the tension part isn’t strong enough.
Afterwards he called the cat over and showed him where the little door is because let’s face it, when brains were being handed out FatAssCat was at the end of the line. He is sweet and lovable, but dumb as a stump. Sah-son said it was a bit tight for the cat but he could fit through it okay.
So I go up to clean the litter box and as I start to scoop I hear Sah-son yell and here comes Ripple. Sah-son said you’d think he was coated in butter the way he just slid right on through the little door, all his wrinkles just got pushed back towards he butt and he slid on through.
I had visions of the dog getting his head stuck and pulling the gate down.
So much for visions.
So we closed the little door and FAC is going to have to jump over the gate.
The exercise will be good for him.
I want to move his food and water upstairs.
Ripple is already trying to get the cat’s food off the cart where we feed him. The cat can barely jump up there so putting it higher may not work. I want my cart back anyway.
Of course knowing how things go around here, FAC won’t be able to jump the gate and Ripple will.
I have eaten at the Sip and Bite many times, back in the days when I hung out in Fell’s Point. Where else would you go to eat after a night of pub crawling?
**Midget **- I find that chewing mint gum seems to soothe my coughing. It’s cheap and easy to try anyway.
Back from supper. It’s cold and windy and flat-out nasty. I just refilled the pellet stove and I’m about to don fuzzy robe and slippers. Chillage shall ensue!
It’s crazy, FCM, when I was growing up, Bo Brooks was a hole-in-the-wall on Belair (pronounced, “Blair”) Road, now it’s a high-priced seafood restaurant in Canton…I remember when I was a kid, they had the project to revitalize Federal Hill - in the '70’s, you could buy a rowhome in Federal Hill for $1 as long as you agreed to put $20,000 into the home and live there as a primary home for at least three years…and they’re worth how much now?
The dear Mrs. White grew up off of Erdman Avenue and Pulaski Highway…we met as my first real job as a chemist was off of North Point Road - one of my technicians and his significant other lived next door to her and they set us up…the rest is history…
Our first home was specifically in Hamilton, between Old Harford and Harford Roads…
I’m jealous about the sausage biscuit, that’s on the list of items the doctor has said I need to avoid…
Moooom, at least your drawing didn’t say Screw, U.
I knocked off irk at 1:30 today, swung through Kroger for groceries, came home and took Nelson to get his nails trimmed (he was almost at raptor level) before picking up some Popeye’s for supper. I found out what all is being done with the digging here at home. On one end, some water lines are being replaced. In the middle, it’s water lines and fiber optic cable and on my end, just fiber optic cable. The yard’s a mess. I just hope that they landscape it well when everything’s done.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Going to [url=http://luckybsbar.com/]Lucky B’s** after work for the sled hockey party. Then N.C. State hockey after that.
14° here this morning. **FCD **and I have a mostly indoor day planned, tho we have to make a run to the convenience center. Much rain is forecast for tomorrow, so we’ll have to take trash and recycling today. Plus there’s laundry. And vacuuming. And general tidying. And I need to get back into the bedrooms that will soon be occupied by Daughter’s family. I just got out of bed and I’m already exhausted!!!
OK, I’ve been up for 2 hours - I love my tablet - I can read in bed and not disturb the spousal unit. But at 6:30, I started feeling sorry for Higgs and I got out from under the covers. Critters have been tended to, **FCD **is still abed, and here I am, in fuzzy robe and slippers.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 32 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 59 and N.O.S. for the day. Rain is supposed to move in tonight and be with us all day tomorrow. We shall see. No huge plans for the day which is fine by me as I had enough of the general public to last me a while yestiddy. We may go out for N.O.L. Or not. Suppage shall be burgers 'n fries.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, well, onward into the day!
Go to Hell; it’s warmer there. :dubious:
It’s currently 14° & should be all the way up to 28° when it’s time to lose everything but the bathing suit (& beach sandals; wouldn’t wanna get cut on a broken shell) even though it is a week before Valentine’s Day.
