Just bought some digital recording equipment.

  • Boss BR-532 Multi-Track Recorder & power supply.
  • 128MB smart media card and reader.
  • Sennheiser HD495 headphones
  • Shure SM-58 Mic
  • boom stand

I was the lead singer in a band for 2 years in the mid 90’s in Dayton, OH. Since then, I’ve learned how to sing () and play a little guitar. Just wanted something to lay down some ideas with and mix together a few simple rock tracks. Eventually maybe post some MP3’s.

Anyone have any experience with the above equipment? The only thing I’ve used before is the Mic, which I love.

Also, does anyone know of any sites like this one for home/digital recording?

doh!

Houston, we have a Smiley problem!

Yes. I have used a boom stand before. It’s extremely handy for handsfree mic usage. You can bend it into different angles too which comes in handy for recording acoustic guitars etc. Hope this helps.
