Just got the Rocky Horror Picture Show DVD..

$25 well spent. Is there a better DVD out there? I mean here you have not only the best musical ever made…but tons of extras too. Buy it…you’ll like it.

Just what extras does it have on it? Does it have “Superheroes”, for instance? I’ve got the VHS version, with a few extras before the movie itself, but I’ve been thinking of plonking down the bucks for the DVD.

Is it the version where you get Rocky the way it was supposed to be seen, à la Wizard of Oz ?

Lynn: It has Superheroes and Once Upon A Time.

detop: Yes.

It also has the UK cut and the American cut, commentary by Patricia Quinn and Richard O’Brien, an audience participation track, cues for using the props, two documentaries, and more.

You have my sympathies. I hope your doctor can cure you of that particular disease.

Are you talking about the special 25 year aniversary edition?

Yep.

Hastur, if I give in to temptation and visit Amazon before day breaks, it’s YOUR FAULT! And Reeder’s, too.

My daughter popped my copy into the VCR one day when she was about 15 or 16. She’d heard me singing along with the cassette (usually as I was driving her and her friend and/or cousin back and forth), so she sort of knew the songs. She’d never heard of the responses, though…and was horribly embarrassed and puzzled when I started shouting them out. Good thing we weren’t in a theater. Is it terribly bad form to offer up your own daughter as a virgin?

I think it is a must to offer your daughter up as a Rocky virgin. I’d wish to be there with a camera and take a picture as you pop her cherry.

I just know you’re all going to be rushing to Broadway to see Luke Perry play Brad Majors (“Asshole!”).
