One of the local/regional news broadcasts, New England Cable News, features a daily segment by one of its weathermen, Matt Noyes, showing photos sent in by viewers. It’s called “Sky Scenes”. I sent in some photos taken over the weekend at Crane’s Beach, and he used one of them!
It’s of a person walking a horse (a Canadian broodmare, by the way, if you’re wondering what it is) on a beautiful early spring day – this last Sunday, March 7th, to be exact. Not only was the photo used, but the March 11 Sky Scenes segment is titled “Just horsing around” and when you go to the webpage with this segment my photo is the one to click on for the video.
Here’s the link.
WOOT!
Not only was one of my photos used for today’s “Sky Scenes” broadcast, but all five of the shots I sent in have been posted on Matt Noyes’ New England Photos page! Here are the permalinks:
Beachwalking
Boomerang
Headland
Dunehopping
And the one that made it to the broadcast: Walking a very big dog
NIce pics** ETF**! Congratulations!
Great pics and video of you walking your horse on the beach. The sand dune one reminded me of Dennis Beach on the Cape.
That’s actually someone else, a person I don’t know, walking the horse; I was the photographer.
EddyTeddyFreddy - Wow, you’re a good photographer. Was the person in “Dunehopping” just climbing the dunes, or doing some kind of sport? (When I opened that pic, I thought those were small hillocks until I got the perspective of the size of the person!)

Thank you! As far as I could tell, it was just a kid goofing around. He (I’m assuming it was a boy) really shouldn’t have been up there, though.
Very nice pics. My favorite is the dune hopping picture.
