On the advice of Q.E.D., I’m here to introduce myself.
I’m slice. I am a full time college student finishing up my second junior year (after discovering the subtle difference between credits that transfer and credits that apply). My degree will (eventually) be in communication, with concentrations in ethics and sports pr.
I just quit my job in the public relations department of a large corporation in order to devote more time to coursework (well, allegedly anyway. That’s a different thread entirely). Also, I understand that I will need lots of free time once the addiction to the SDMB fully sets in.
My interests are cooking, writing (I do some freelance), traveling, painting, and many more things ending in -ing. I especially like remodeling and decorating (and I love shows like Trading Spaces) so you’ll probably see a lot of me in Cafe Society, if they’ll have me. Since I’m living in my first actual house (no more apartments!) and have a yard, I’d like to take up gardening and would welcome any help in that area. I also have two cats and recently adopted my first dog a little over two months ago.
Anyway, I’m glad to be here, and I promise not to act like a jerk.
Hi, there, slice. As long as you don’t act like a jerk, you should be just fine. I’m well on my way to 1,000 posts, and while I don’t seem to garner the respect that, say, Scotticher and Libertarian do, I’ve never been pitted. So I’ll probably sticking around for some length of time, and I for one am glad to have you aboard.
Spinach casserole in no way compares to cookies – I’d say toss the casserole and eat the cookies. peers over What kind of cookies do you have there, slice?
