I know it isnt a great debate, but I am in shock that retaliation is happening already.
I just heard that too. Well, “explosions in Kabul” of uncertain origin. I wouldn’t be suprised if there is some conflict within the Arab community itself over this. Maybe the moderates are trying to round up the guilty and present them to the world in order to forestall the kind of general retaliation being called for by many.
Well some people are now saying that explosions in Kabul are not that out of the ordinary…
ABC is now reporting that the US has denied any involvement in the bombings in Kabul. Seems to be related to the ongoing state of war between the Taliban and their opponents.
Just to clarify; Afghanistan is not an Arab country. It is a predominately–even overwhelmingly–Muslim country, whose people are members of a number of different ethnic groups, none of which is Arab. (There are some Arab expatriates living there, including the notorious Osama Bin Laden, a Saudi by birth.)
Currently, news reports show that the explosions are being linked to attacks by the faction opposing the Taliban, which faction had its leader assassinated just days ago.
