Did he do a good job wrestling? He looks like a big guy. He was also in Bullet Train I think.
I guess I’ve never thought about it before, but it sure seems weird that a person born in Puerto Rico (or another territory) is a US citizen, but they only get to vote if they establish residency in a state.
If they have a residency in a US state, should they be called an American rather than a Puerto Rican? I guess since they are already a citizen - albeit with limited rights, they are differently situated than an immigrant from a different country.
Like I said - weird.
Yeah, only times I’ve seen him were on Bullet Train. Really enjoyable movie. And before that on SNL. I understand he is hugely popular - apparently appealing to an audience other than the 2 old farts living in my house.
Exactly.
Surprisingly so, yes. He apparently took his training very seriously and did a lot better than most celebrity wrestlers have done in the past.
Here’s a clip from his Wrestlemania match, including a top rope dive and his delivering a Canadian Destroyer to John Morrison.
Though for reasons (*) the status referendum this time around is also accompanied by a Guam-style presidential straw poll.
(* oh, but we know why – this was set in motion in lame-duck session 4 years ago by an outgoing pro-statehood legislature, aware that the incoming legislature could not overturn it, and is widely seen as just a trick to motivate pro-statehood voters to show up. What is likely to happen is that (a) unlike 2020 Statehood fails to get a majority since now it’s multi-choice and (b) there will be a surprisingly high “Trump” vote just out of people trolling the pointless ballot) (and I’M part of the statehood party and think this was stupid)
@Dinsdale as we’ve explored in other threads: it’s ^%$# complicated.
Bad Bunny is also friend with Pedro Pascal. That can’t hurt.
I think I love you.
Obligatory David Sedaris link.
I hope to look back on this and see it as his “Rum, Romanism and Rebellion” moment.
They get to vote on a lot of stuff. Just not in the general elections for president. They get to vote in the primaries and in local elections.
They have the same rights as any US citizen, just that they dont live in a state, so they have no electors, or congressmen.

Meanwhile, Harris has won the coveted Deadhead endorsement.
This old guy arrives at his polling place to vote, and takes to pushing a woman in a wheelchair. One might think he is polishing his decent guy image, but it is not clear what he would have to gain from that.
These fools can’t even their get lame ass story together. I just saw some numpty from the Trump camp doing a short interview with, I think, Major Garrett (CBS) and his claim is that they did vet it and that the comedian changed the script. MG even confirmed it, asking again if the comedian did a different act than what they were shown/approved. He also tried to whatabout Dems on comparing Trump to Hitler by claiming there was “a Holocaust survivor at the rally!” Oy
He just barely survived falling out of the watchtower.
Thanks for the info. Yes, I am a fan, but for the past number of years, I’ve pretty much only paid attention to our local promotion. Thanks again!
I’m liking the “Roe Roe Roe Your Vote” shirt.
Also, possibly, whatever tiny portion of WWE fans aren’t already fully MAGA.
So she picked up another endorsement today. Bush-something…(no, not one of the elders)
Political ads are prevalent, of course. But the ones I’m seeing are all for the Governor’s office, Senate seats, House seats, etc. I’m not really seeing anything for the office of President. Washington is pretty reliably Blue, so I imagine that the Democratic Party is not spending money on the Presidential race here. Still, I haven’t seen any ‘Trump is a Nazi’ or other Harris vs. Trump ads on social media.
I didn’t watch the video, but maybe she wanted a push and he’s just actually a decent guy?
Kansas is Ruby-red, so we don’t see these either. Except during national broadcasts, like an NFL game.
