Kamala Harris and the runup to the 2024 Presidential Election {No more on Guns}

I think @Sherrerd meant the operatives skipped The Dope this year. I know I didn’t see any obvious Russian jack asses this time around.

Okay, if that was the point. Sure.

Yeah, you’re right, I did see some of that, too. And also a lot of ‘I’m in a [red or blue] state so my vote doesn’t matter’ (of course it does matter to the popular vote, which can operate as a mandate or else as an argument against the Electoral College).

By “us” I meant the Dope. [eta: ninja’d]

But, yes: lots of work by overseas adversaries to affect the outcome. I remember particularly the staged ‘proof of fraud’ showing a person with a VERY black hand tearing up ballots showing votes for Trump.

I wonder if Trump will outlaw such efforts by agencies (to identify and publicize foreign propaganda schemes)?

Then I apologize for that.

No worries. All on the same side, here.

Which doesn’t sound ominous at all. And progress was made on abortion rights, so people did care, they just didn’t tie it to her.

There’s a campaign slogan that would certainly be memorable. Not to mention that allegedly a lot of people didn’t know Biden had dropped out.

I’ve never vored for anyone.

I still have the “Vore for Al Gore” sticker on my Prius.

Yeah, the idea that we must love and adore a candidate is just another piece of anti-democracy, anti-voting propaganda. (Not that it’s not okay to love and adore a candidate; for those so-inclined: love away.)

We vote to get as close as possible to what we want. And what some of us may happen to want, is to shut out of power those who hate the rule of law and want to subvert it.

That’s a perfectly good reason for voting.

Oh, I’ve voted for lots of people. I’ve just never vored for anyone.

On an internet full of weird fetishes, vore is up there.

Heh. And here I was thinking I knew exactly what point you were making.

In the Mafia sense of “take care of”.

In the sense of deciding for them what’s good for them then doing it to them whether they like it or not. Some bits of which some women might think are nice, but most of which most of them won’t. Of course since they’re “just women”, their opinions won’t matter.

“Your body, my choice.” :face_vomiting:

You know, take her out. Show her a good time.

On a related note to that, I have never even entertained the idea of taking a buddy’s wife to a movie. Any significant other I’ve had would have considered that a violation of relationship norms, akin to cheating on them. And I’m sure most of my married friends would have had a similar thought.

Eh, redacted. Too much of a hijack.

Ugh ugh ugh. Interesting but depressing. From CNN, seven charts and maps show where Harris underperformed and lost the election.

I wonder if the DNC has ever sent releases after they’ve lost presidential primaries where they’ve specified which tactics worked and which did not. I Yet I suppose they would only get that type of info by surveying the population - I know the cost would be prohibitive.
