Kamala Harris and the runup to the 2024 Presidential Election {No more on Guns}

How about this source?

A regular Profile in Courage, that guy.

Understood. Thats totally reasonable.

The feelings are mutual.
Yeah, I just haven’t kept up with everything. Harris did drift from “slightly ahead” to “slightly behind” in Georgia over the last month, but it will be a coin-toss there either way, and now I won’t in fact be surprised if she wins that state.

That’s a list of Republicans who voted against FE<A aid. I’m not seeing an ad about it.

All I ever get out of xitter these days, even if I enable java for them, is a signup-or-login box.

And this page is massively screwed up for me right now. I don’t know whether this will post; I was unable to quote anything and am typing this into a reply box covered with an overlay of bits and pieces of other people’s posts. I am coming more and more around to the suspicion that it’s threats with xitter links in them that intermittently do this to me; though as it seems to be only me that in itself probably isn’t a reason for people not to do it.

oh yes and I can’t go back and edit text, only add more at the end of the post. If it will let me save the edit.

And in the Tarheel State:

Trump won there narrowly in 2020, and his support comes from the hardest-hit areas.

The Great Pumpkinhead’s ranting against early and mail-in voting could come back to bite him in areas with effects continuing through Election Day.

Yeah I had been previously wondering about election impact at landfall in the Florida panhandle and Big Bend; hadn’t though as much about inland.

That’s even worse.

So, then the MAGAs are just gonna lie-

I am not a fan of TikTok (just not my thing), I’ve never had the urge to create an account, but I’ve watched TikTok videos on a web browser without problems.

It’s like YouTube; you certainly don’t need one to watch YouTube videos.

Sorry for a minor hijack here but I thought this deserved a response as people post videos quite frequently on this board.

Somebody posted a tiktok link in another thread a little while ago and I tried that and was able to watch it. Which confirms your information – not that I thought you needed confirming.

People in political threads seem to very often post xitter links; I don’t know whether they could be persuaded to post tiktok instead (or of course youtube, which indeed works fine.)

I get far more political news on Xitter than on YouTube and TikTok combined.

I have a xitter account, from which I sometimes share videos to the Dope. Some of the videos are tiktok videos.

I do not have a tiktok account. I have yet to figure out how to post just the video that’s embedded in the xitter tweet as a tiktok video. Believe me, I’ve tried.

Thanks for trying!

If you block ads and never click on them or engage with blue checkmarks, then all you’re doing by browsing Twitter is causing Elon Musk to lose money.

Ok, stop the xitter/Musk stuff in this thread.

Moderating:

Some talk about impact now, albeit more for NC, and even GA, where they are a bit less used to it.

Overall, Helene could “dramatically change who is in the electorate,” Cooper said.

And while FL may be used to it, another punch to the Gulf coast right on top may test them?

sigh Milton is really chapping my ass. First and foremost, the folks in that area need another major wind/water event like they need a hole in the head. Second, I had some stuff planned for next weekend which is now going to get shoved aside due to EOC stuff. Also, we will probably catch a decent rain out of this and I had tree guys coming late this week. sigh

I will definitely eat my words in regard to NC. I have friends in western NC, and the pictures and stories they’ve shared are borderline apocalyptic. This kind of devastation will absolutely impact the election. How and how much it will do so is obviously still up in the air.

Which 538 data? Main graph has Harris +2.5
