The people I follow do, too. But reading the general feed, the MAGA crowd loathes him. For no good reason, except that he seems to be unassailable.

Probably because he’s been an ally and advocate of LGBTQ+ people for many years, so it’s the schoolyard taunt of, “If you love them so much you must be one.”
The accusation makes no sense because if anyone would feel comfortable in admitting he was gay, and would likely face no consequences for doing so, it would be Tim Walz.
How is it even an attack? Being gay in 2024 isn’t the stigmatizing thing it used to be, thanks in part to people like Walz.

So that first article is interesting. Vance says that when he was 8 or 9 he thought he might be gay because he liked his best friend Billy and disliked girls. So his Meemaw asked him if he wanted to suck dicks.
Check that again, his grandmother’s way of proving to him he wasn’t gay was to ask him if he wanted to suck dicks at 9 years old.

I also just found out that billionaire Peter Thiel is gay. Given how much Thiel has supported Vance’s career despite Vance’s repeated lackluster performance as an employee, one might begin to wonder why Thiel is so enthusiastic.

The latest scandal (or “scandal”?) is about COVID funding. I don’t know from this if there’s any “ there there” or if it’s another attempt to gun up a controversy.
From that article it sounds like the GOP are attempting to blame Walz and his administration for a crime that Walz and his administration actively caught, investigated and stopped.
