Apparently, he doesn’t like taking his meds because they interfere with his creative process.
TMZ (yeah, I know, but they have lots of sources within the Kardashian/West camp) is reporting the family thinks he’s in another bipolar episode.

Dude’s a train wreck. Reminds me of the character played by Lin-Manuel Miranda on House a bunch of years ago.
What scares me is the thought of how many Americans may vote on a candidate’s sheer entertainment value alone. That would explain Trump.
A lot of folks voted for Trump just to see Washington go down in flames. Kanye would no doubt keep the raging wildfire going.
Maybe his run will last longer than his wife’s last marriage of 72 days. They own a big ranch in Wyoming now. When they go there the black population of Wyoming doubles.
Kanye still hasn’t filed with the FEC and there’s been zero talk about anyone collecting signatures to get him on the ballot in any states. If 3,000 people in Michigan had Kanye volunteers knocking on their door, we’d have heard about it by now. Kanye seems to think (whether clearly thinking or not) that “But COVID” would be an excuse for not getting the required signatures but any court would rule that COVID didn’t make Kanye wait until the eleventh hour in July to start thinking about running in 2020. Next batch of state deadlines is the 15th and that’s not going to happen.
The guy is off his meds. If he hasn’t already seen a squirrel he will shortly and the Birthday Party will be just another punchline added to his growing list of embarrassing episodes.
“Seen a squirrel” - heh.
Alas, the Candidacy of Yeezus seems to be at an end…
He added that his understanding was that West’s team was “working over weekend there, formalizing the FEC and other things that they’ve got to do when you have a lot of corporate lawyers involved.”
The signature-gathering process was described as ongoing, and Kramer said “we had overwhelming support to get him on the ballot.” He added, “Whether anybody is going to vote for him or not is up to them.” Kramer described the effort as including both paid and volunteer efforts to get signatures. “They got a lot of people who they’ve got both on their volunteer side and their contracted side,” said Kramer.
This all seemed real enough, and I reached out to West’s publicist for a response. The initial response was to loop in another spokesperson on the email. West’s team then went dark. As I waited for a response, I followed up with Kramer who told me, “He’s out.”
I’m a bit skeptical that there was ever a real signature gathering effort as I think it would have reached the political media and started a bunch of “He’s really doing it!” stories. You don’t ask a thousand people to sign a petition for Kanye and no one speaks up about it.
Chance the Dumbass.
I’d be surprised if he is ever consistently on meds. Bipolar people go through cycles and he’s probably going through a manic one right now and every other time he’s done some absurd attention-getting stunt.
He threw in the towel today
… could have been a contender … for summat anyway.
Well, that was a surprise… He really looked like he was in it for the long haul. Hey, wait! Is that a joint? Have you ever REALLY looked at your hands? Whoaaaaa…
Rapper Kanye West has qualified to appear on the Oklahoma presidential ballot, the first state in which he met the requirements before the filing deadline, amid confusion and uncertainty around whether he is actually running for the Oval Office.
West’s representative sent in the necessary paperwork and paid the $35,000 filing fee on Wednesday, the state’s deadline to appear on the Nov. 3 presidential ballot, Oklahoma Board of Elections spokeswoman Misha Mohr told the Associated Press

However, TMZ reported that West took his first official step toward his White House bid by filing with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Wednesday.TMZ reported that West filed the Statement of Organization form, which declared that the Kanye 2020 committee will serve as the “Principal Campaign Committee” with West as its candidate.
However, West has reportedly not filed the second necessary form, a Statement of Candidacy. The FEC requires that candidates show that they’ve raised or spent more than $5,000 in campaign activity before being considered a candidate under federal campaign finance law.
Right. All he needs to do now is to scrape together the $5K towards his campaign activity. I know! Maybe he could start a GoFundMe page.
Does he know he’s become a punchline?
Any publicity is good publicity when you’re a Kardashian
He really needs to have his meds adjusted.
I don’t think he knows…
Let’s see if he finds out today.
Kanye is going to build black babies, and make Africa pay for it.
What is it with the ultra wealthy crackpots in your country?
