I’m not good at the search. I know this has already been discussed but I will have to sing something at work. Can you please direct me to the correct thread or even better, the best easy to sing song?
“Werewolves of London” is a good choice. It’s easy to sing and it’s humorous. And the guitar bridge is short so you’re not stuck on it too long.
One question. Are you willing to make a fool of yourself and have fun with it, or do you just want to get it over with?
Try 4’33".
This Buzzfeed article seems to have a bunch of good suggestions for newbies with explanations of why each were chosen.
It’s interesting that they put “Forgot about Dre” on that list. Every time I try to do Eminem on karaoke night, I fail miserably. He just goes so darn fast.
I had to specifically instruct the karaoke hosts at my favorite place to never let me do Weird Al’s “White and Nerdy” once I’ve been drinking for a while. Hard enough to do sober; impossible when drunk.
Which song is ‘easiest to sing’ really depends on your own voice, your range, whether you are good at timing or pitch, etc. if you know your vocal range, you can search for matching songs on google.
If you WOULD like to search threads about karaoke, spelling it right would be an excellent technique for getting hits.
Anyway, here’s a thread from 2005.
Good luck.
Thanks everyone! And I will try to have fun but I will mostly want to get it over with.
If you’re a chick, anything from Shania Twain. Dudes can cover anything Ringo Starr sings. Your range may or may not be broader than either of these artists but their material tends to be easy enough for beginners.
