“Karoline’s Baby”, a remake with Karoline in place of Mia Farrow.
She’s good at what she does, which is to be awful.
And I too consider it proof that God doesn’t exist that that cross she wears doesn’t glow red hot and melt with shame every time she spews one of her outrageous lies.
Agreed.
In fact, I used to say the same thing about Kellyanne Conway.
Many people are saying she stores that cross in her vahine overnight for safekeeping.
I am NOT going to look up what a vahine is.
It means “Polynesian woman” in the Tahitian language.
Ignorance Fought!
you forgot to capitalize the first T in the new word
If she had any dignity and/or class (and plainly she doesn’t), she would have left when the Orange Dotard went on a long rant about her lips.
\Isn’t she great? Is Karoline great? You know, when she goes on television, Fox, like, I mean, they dominate, they dominate when she gets up there with that beautiful face.
And those lips that don’t stop. Pop-pop-pop like a little machine gun. She’s got no fear, and you know why she has no fear? Because we have the right policy.
I used to read a lot about Scientology. In particular, about 15 years or so ago, the St. Petersburg Times in Florida ran a big investigative series about the church. Whenever the paper reached out to try to get a comment, the designated spokespeople would issue the most vapid, condescending, bullshitty responses imaginable, apoplectic that anyone would dare to question their dear leader or sacred texts and beliefs. That’s sort of what I think of when I hear Karoline Leavitt, DHS flack Tricia McLaughlin or any of the other ghouls who work as spokespeople in the orange emperor’s administration.
You’re making me pine for the days when cults would have a big Flavor-aid send-off.
It is so far down the list of sins that the Trump administration has committed that I am hesitant to even suggest it. But I’ll say it anyway: these people are just so goddamned unprofessional.
Any one of us working a normal job would be fired for the way these jackoffs behave on a regular basis.
I had a problem with alcohol. One time it was bad enough that I failed to make an important deadline for my job.
My supervisor stepped in and helped me to complete the project. But he told me: “Dude, this is just not professional.”
And I never got work from them again, deservedly so.
That was long ago, and minor in the grand scheme of things; eventually I figured my shit out.
But now our entire government is like the young asshole I was.
Did “young asshole you” even for a moment think to themself “oh one day I’ll show you where to shove your ‘professional’”? Because that’s what animates these people. They WANT to do/say what the “serious” people have been telling them is wrong or unacceptable all their lives, and rub it in their faces that they can.
I personally agree. But I wonder how relevant or appropriate it is to characterize behavior as “professional.” Not trying to wave my “old fogey” flag, but I started work when being professional meant wearing a suit and tie and reporting to the office every day. (And likely being white and male!) Is a lack of courtesy similar to “casual dress” or “work at home”? I’m continually being told that my opinions as to language “correctness” are inappropriate. And standards for “decency” in the arts seem to have slackened somewhat.
Among the countless issues I’ve had with Trump is simple amazement that the way he acts and speaks is the way people want their elected officials to act and speak. I guess I just prefer some minimal level of decorum. And I always liked my elected officials to sound intelligent. But I could imagine someone saying that reflects some sort of privilege on my part. If you are going to vote for and support someone with Trump’s track record, I would imagine you have ZERO complaints about his press secretary’s behavior/communication style.
And it isn’t just Leavitt. Today AG Bondi was in fine form. I would HOPE that if the appointees of a Dem president acted similarly towards Repub Congresscritters, that the Dems would suggest such behavior was inapropriate.
Fruitist!
That’s called a Trump. I don’t do it in polite company, or blame the dog.
See, where I come from, “Professional” is just about the highest compliment you can give someone - it means that they get the job done, quickly, efficiently and intelligently, with no fuss, no ego and no personal bullshit. Nothing to do with what they wear or where they work, unless wearing certain clothing or working in a certain location helps them do a better job.
I haven’t seen much of my kind of professionalism in the Trump administration.
I sometimes think this is true, but I’m not sure. Tastes change and often we older folks don’t get what’s new in entertainment. Then we bemoan what we perceive as falling standards.
I’m reminded of Gene Wilder. As he got older he complained about cursing and general coarseness in movies. Then again, he did once play a man in love with a sheep.
