Katamari Damacy - help for eternity stage?

I know I’m late to this party, but I’ve been playing Katamari Damacy, oh, pretty much non-stop since I got it a month ago. My problem? I read that reaching 1m30cm on Star 4 allows you to reach the eternity stage. So I kept re-making that star until my thumbs cramped up and finally made it with a cm or two to spare. Once I reached that size, a ring of stars appeared around the Prince. When the time limit ran out, the King was most pleased but then…nothing. No mention of eternity, no extra-special anything. Next time I went to play Star 4 I got the same time limit as always.

How can I get to eternity? If you tell me I have to get to 1m30cm again, I’m going to cry…

Have you beaten the game? You can unlock the various eternal stages before doing so, but they won’t appear as an option until you have.

Oooohhhhh. I get it. No, I haven’t finished the other levels yet. The guide I read didn’t mention you need to beat it first, but I shoulda guessed. :smack:

I usually find very good game guides on gamefaqs.com. Katamari drives me crazy, but my daughter loves it.
