Most donations for Hurricane Katrina are going to the Red Cross but some of my friends and myself are wanting to donate to enviromental and animal care organizations that are in need of assistance. Can someone give me any groups that would be along these lines?

Is a list of the various organizations that have been rescuing animals down there and how to donate. The ASPCA, HSUS, Best Friends animal society and Noah’s Wish are some that I know of specifically. My sister’s cats were stuck down there for over a week until she went down with a rescue society in Arkansas. They were fine, thank Og.
I’m not sure of any environmental charities, but there may be some.
