It is strange.
EXCEEDINGLY STRANGE (LINK)
Not a bigfoot/loch ness/Elvis-is-alive thing.
Carp.
Not only did I initially think this was about the Doper, but I assumed he was selling stuff on Amazon and was being harassed. (from River on was cut off on my phone.)
I thought they were physically attacked. While kayaking!
I can’t in good faith watch anything on Coast to Coast AM.
Dang. No offense to the O.P. but thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, they’ve really gone downhill since the days of shadow people and lizardmen under the Earth.
It looks to me like some kind of giant rays in just a foot or two of water. They rest under a thin layer of sand and go bat shit when they detect the vibrations of a paddle. I SUP in Morro Bay and get this reaction all the time in shallow water, just not the size or number of animals seen in the Amazon video.
Me too. A heartfelt thank you for beating me to posting otherwise.
Hah! I’ve kayaked a large swamp near Erie, PA and had the crap scared out of me by spawning carp that would slam into my ‘yak.
We need to get Jeremy Wade to go check this out.
“Not a bigfoot/loch ness/Elvis-is-alive thing.”
Exactly that.
The splashing in the distance at the end of the video looks fake as hell.
Look at YouTube vids of giant invasive carp. That’s exactly what it looks like. Even little ones look dramatic. I’ve seen it.
Yeah that pinwheel splashing at the end is really weird. I’m guessing the kayak was nudged by a big fish, maybe pirarucu. Then the video was “enhanced” with extra splashing to make it look more mysterious.
How do we know it wasn’t a Myss or myssus creature?
We don’t know its marital status, so let’s call it a Myz creature.
Or a Mr creature.
