Kazaa Participation Level

For those who are unaware of this part of Kazaa, participation points are earned in the peer to peer program by uploading files to other users. Downloading files takes away participation points. Having a lot of these points gives you first priority in downloading lines with other users, not to mention it shows you aren’t a leech. At least this is the way it is supposed to work.

The new version of Kazaa Lite allows users to have a permanent 1000 particpation level, the highest possible. These users do not share files, yet are able to have the benefits of those who give back to the pirating community (its all so ironic, I know, I am complaining about leeches when by downloading at all, I am one myself. Lets ignore the hypocrisy for a second). What I am wondering is if anybody knows a way to get your Kazaa to only upload to users with a certain participation level. If there isn’t a way to do this, the next version of kazaa definetly should have it.

What you are referring to is not the “next” version of KaZaa. Rather, it is a hacked/compromised version. It would be pointless to have everyone on the “new” version of KaZaa at the same participation level.

Which is why I said “Kazaa Lite”. I realize this, I just failed to mention that it was a hack in my post.
