A man who admitted killing his partner and driving with her body in the boot of his car for 10 months has had his bail revoked.
He had admitted the culpable homicide of grandmother Ella Douglas but because the 64-year-old was a first offender he was granted bail…

In August 2001 he was stopped by police who noticed a “strong, obnoxious smell” coming from the car.
Dental records
The body was found in the boot and was later identified by dental records.
Mr McCreadie told the court Allen was divorced, had served in the Royal Navy for 17 years and lived in Dalbeattie before leaving his wife and moving to Dumfries.
He met his victim through a “lonely hearts” newspaper advert in l998.
First-timeoffender, fine. But surely first-time murderer is a bit different from first-time shoplifting or whatever.
Very odd!
At least it wasn’t propped up in the passenger seat so he could use the carpool lane.

Hehehe - well we don’t have carpool lanes over here, sadly. But at least it might have made some sort of sense!

Shoot, when I cleaned out my car before donating it to the technical school, I dug out stuff I had there for years . You throw stuff into the back seat and you forget about it, you know what I mean?
