Keeping up with Deadwood/Commander-in-Chief, et al

Can anyone tell me how the hell you keep track of show dates, premieres, re-runs, etc. of your favorite shows? Deadwood and Commander-in-Chief are my only “must-see” prime-time shows, and I can’t even find out when they’re on. I was just on HBO’s site, and it appears they’ll be doing Deadwood re-runs of the last season starting tonight. (The last time I had checked that site, it didn’t have even that info.) I searched the SDMB and found only that a new season is expected to start in April. Yikes, that’s almost a year, isn’t it? On ABC’s site, I can’t find out when CIC will be on again; maybe it was cancelled, although I thought it was doing well in the ratings. How do these networks expect to hold onto their audiences that way, or increase their viewers? Yes, maybe they’ll keep the loyal ones like us who’ve seen it from the start, but will they keep us or add new viewers? What are the tv execs thinking? Why should I have to research the web and check the newspapers’ tv listings daily to find out when they’re on? I admit I don’t watch a lot t.v. (none during the day), so maybe I’m missing promos for these shows.

Deadwood’s been repeating Season 2 for awhile – I think they’re more than halfway through. I heard Commander in Chief was cancelled.

I agree that the websites suck, for scheduling information.

Do you have TiVo? I use the season pass feature for my favorites, so I don’t have to remember when they’re on.

There’s always the TV Guide website.

for all it’s problems and how it pales in comparison to the old TVTOME site… tv.com lists that stuff pretty easily.
