The organizers of the London Olympics have asked The Who’s manager if Keith Moon would like to play at the closing ceremony.
The manager responded “If they have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might contact him.”

In the wake of Tupac’s resurrection, I thought this might not be a joke.
Curbishley should have offered up a hologram of Moonie instead.
eta: beaten to the punch again!
Are they running out of living musicians who are willing to play for free?
Why stop there? They could summon up John Lennon, George Harison, Steve Marriott, John Bonham, John Entwhistle, Brian Jones, Sid Vicious, Keith Relf, Ronnie Lane, Syd Barrett, Steve Clark, Mick Ronson, Freddy Mercury and make a real party out of it?
Amy Winehouse wailing God Save the Queen would be awesome.
I heard once that Pete says now that John and Keith are gone, he and Roger basically are the world’s most expensive Who cover band.
Holographic dead performers going on tour is a coming thing. I wonder what tickets will cost.
Next to nothing…
When I was living in Berlin in the 1980’s, I briefly helped a friend in NYC who had a talent booking agency and I would help book some talent for her. A man in Berlin, who had a yearly show that booked international talent, gave me his list of potential talent for that year’s show - and one singer at the top of his list that he wanted to book was Billie Holiday. (Billie Holiday had died in 1959.)
My only argument to you good sir.. is is.. Sid Vicious? really?? Sid??
Great, now the toilets are going to start exploding again
Yeah, to class up the joint a bit.
