[distant memory]Melin was a long-time poster/mod. Lots of valuable contributions and an entrenched member of the community. Something went off the rails, there was a ripple in the cosmic web, and during the altercation she suggested/hinted/threatened/alluded to/joked about/referenced/something suing the board. Serious or not, TPTB took it very seriously and banned her. It wasn’t a pleasant chapter in Board history regardless of who you believe or what you thought of the incident. The Stormfront Invasion was more fun.
Given that it’s a distant memory, this should be taken as a “post inspired by true events” and not necessarily reliable fact-wise.
As you might expect, it involved lawyers. Ever since the Board abandoned its “IANAL oath” policy, at least half a dozen…maybe more!..lawyers have infiltrated these boards with impunity.
Stern measures are called for.

Auburntigergirl-- If Auburn provided you any eduction at all you should be able to understand the difference between political programming and news. Neither Keith Olberman nor, for example, Bill O’Reilly are doing news. They’re doing politics. So are Sean Hannity and Rachel What’s-her-name.
I must say, however, that looking at your posts, you start with remarkably untenable position, and when you get informed you seem to say, “I didn’t know that,” or the equivalent. It might be useful for you to think things through before you posted.
