I hate this man with all of my heart. He is a terrible news anchor and for the most part has no idea what he is talking about. The only thing he does is bash bush and everybody that was associated with him. Bush did do some things that needed to get bashing on the news but to do this every single show just gets old. This mans only goal is to bash bush, I really think he is actually gay for ol’ george because he is so obsessed with him.
His worst persons segment is usually filled with people he just doesn like that day or he either has a program to randomly pick republican and then proceeds to find whatever he doesn’t like about that person and there goes a new worst persons segment.
This man is soooo one sided and isn’t open to anything anybody does unless they would be willing to suck Obama’s dick. He failed as a sportscaster or whatever you want to call it and now he is failing at a news anchor. Like I said he should just jump off something very tall.
I agree. Olbermann is the left’s Limbaugh: a fanatically one-sided, smug, repetitive, overbearing bore, who has lasting appeal only to the blindly partisan.
If Olbermann were the left’s Limbaugh he’d have the Democrats wrapped around his finger, which he doesn’t, his ratings would be through the roof, which they aren’t, and he’d be attempting to destroy those of his own ilk who don’t toe his warped vision of the party line, which he isn’t. How’s that again?
Squink, what a logic filled statement thats awsome.
I also don’t agree with Sean Hannity’s direction because it is also one sided and repetitive as are most. I hate when people are one sided no matter the issue, but at least you will catch hannity or even bill saying something nice about the other party, I would be willing to bet keith wouldn’t agree with a republican even if they were trying to stop somebody from killing him. However, if you have gone through the channels and watched the different news shows, keith olbermann is the worst.
Several years ago I used to watch Olbermann two or three times a week. He said a few things that needed to be said. He got me to re-examine some of my beliefs. But then he became hyper-partisan, and started bashing Bush and republicans over every little thing, and his feud with O’Reilly which turned into a creepy obsession. It got to be too much and I stopped watching him. I think he may have mental problems.
And he’d be the same weight and height too, eh? And both would wear glasses.
Here, I’ll try again, pay close attention: Olbermann is like Limbaugh in that both are…wait for it…fanatically one-sided, smug, repetitive, overbearing bores, who have lasting appeal only to the blindly partisan. How’s that for ya? Simple enough?
Oh, come on. You didn’t say Olbermann was like Limbaugh. You said he was the left’s Limbaugh, which your description doesn’t even assert, much less prove.
If two people are on opposite ends of a political spectrum, and the person on one side is a self-serving hypocritical blowhard, does that automatically make the person on the other side a self-serving hypocritical blowhard?
I no longer listen to Limbaugh though I did sporadically during Bush 1’s term, and Olbermann’s nowhere near as smart as Limbaugh. I think Limbaugh tends toward mean-spiritedness and arrogance, but say what you will about him he’s a smart sumbitch.
It’s true that Olbermann is the left wing equivalent of Limbaugh, O’Reilly, etc. The OP is wrong that he’s a “terrible news anchor,” only because he’s not a news anchor, but a commentator. The frustration and incredulity the OP feels about Olbermann is exactly the way anybody wth a brain feels about pretty much the entirety of Fox News. At least MSNBC gives a show to a conservative in the morinings, and its actual news reporting is still minimally professional and accurate (unlike Fox’s clip cropping shenanigans, selective or false headlines and graphics and provacative and/or preposterous accusations and insuations phrased as “questions” (“Barack Obama a puppy rapist?”).
Hannity is far worse than Olbermann, though. Olbermann is a self-impressed, one-sided blowhard, but he’s not as shallow, as dishonest or as flat out stupid as Hannity is. Olbermann is more akin to Bill O’Reilly (he and O’Reilly are virtual mirror images except Olbermann lacks the sexual harrassment and the rage issues) than to Hannity. Hannity is truly a vicious, repugnant individual. Probably the single worst human being on all of cable news.
