Me too. I’ve known who she was since The Accused, and I can’t ever remember thinking that she wasn’t a lesbian.

It has whatever you like. fancy bars, biker bars, gay bars, Irish bars, neighborhood bars, outside bars, inside bars,Hogs Braeth, Sloppy joes, captain Tonys. Same for food, Cuban, Italian, Chinese, Steak houses, Fancy restaurants, bars that serve conch and alligator. everything . Bars have live entertainment, from folk, country and western, rock, Motown rock, anything and it goes from noon to 4am.

Except that she never lied about it; she just refused to answer questions. And she publically acknowledged her wife/girlfriend/whatever last year, anyway.

How do you tell if a little child is “obviously gay”? Or, for that matter, obviously straight?
It’s the one annoying thing to come out of the gay rights movement.
Because that’s what a little kid needs who may or may not be gay, a bunch of gay people standing over him/her saying they’re definitely gay.
Especially now when being gay still carries a slight stigma.
Maybe it’s the families (parents) who are obviously gay and they have small children?
Hmm. How did you arrive at the conclusion that “a bunch of gay people” were “standing over him/her” from my reference to families?
Also note the reference to “no fuss”. It’s just not a big deal, either to hide or celebrate. It just is.
And maybe the kids in question won’t end up gay. But at this point, they seem to be gay. If you’ve ever known a gay adult when they were a child, you know that often, with people who grow up to be obviously gay (and if you want to argue that there’s no such thing, don’t argue it with me, I’m an old fag hag, and while I would never say everyone who is gay is obviously so, there are unquestionably people whose homosexuality is obvious, they don’t need to say it.) it was obvious when they were kids.
the most amazing family I know of has a transgender son. I don’t know how old he is now, but the fact that he’s transgender has been apparent since he was extremely young, and his parents have always been supportive. It wasn’t completely painless and adjustment-free, but they’ve never in any way sought to deny the boy’s self-identification as a girl. They have told her teachers, and I think most of the parents and other kids are aware, I’m not sure. But as a result, this transgender girl (is it transgnder girl or transgender boy?) is very happy, very well-adjusted, confident, etc. It’s a wonderful thing to see.
Does anyone remember The Monkeys Mask, could a straight woman pull that off?
