Kennedy Center Honors 2015: Final Song?

American rock band the Eagles
Singer-songwriter Carole King
Filmmaker George Lucas

Conductor Seiji Ozawa
Actress and Broadway star Cicely Tyson
Frequently, the Kennedy Center Honors closes with a pop song which the audience sings along with whomever’s on stage. So this year, do you think it will be one by the Eagles or by Carole King? I’m guessing it will come down to “Take it Easy” (“Hotel California” is kind of intense for a sing along, but I could be wrong) or “I Feel the Earth Move”. What do you think?

(Of course, there’s always the possibility that Bill Murray will reprise his character from Saturday Night Live and lead everyone in “Star Wars! Nothing but Star Wars!”)

“America” from West Side Story

I’d think “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” would be the better choice from King, but it’ll be something by the Eagles.

IIRC, it’ll ultimately depend on who’s honored last.

In honor of George Lucas, the show ends with a sing-along of Bea Arthur’s cantina number from the Star Wars holiday special.
