Edward R. Murrow said that a nation of sheep would breed a government of wolves. He didn’t live to see how right he was. We’re in the fold now, and the wolves are about to dine.
Great, another psycho crank that thinks an invisible man on a cloud is leading us to victory over brown-skinned infidels through a deer-in-the-headlights prophet.
And Mohammed is his prophet?
Boy, if I only had a dollar for every “one God”
Back to the OP:
I had thought I was prepared for Kerry to lose, but I don’t think I was.
Fuck. Fuck. Fuckity-fuck-fuck.
That’s the inference the rest of the world is probably drawing. And yes, I know Republicans don’t give a damn what the rest of the world thinks.
Well something has to give. We’ve outgrown the current system. I think what burns me the most is they’re total rightousness. I can understand (barely) if you think Iraq was a good move. What I don’t get is that they don’t see the other side, or even acknowledge the viewpoint. This is limited to Iraq either mind you. Every issue is like “yes we’d do it again and wouldn’t change a thing, everything is perfect”
I’m with you 100% I’m doing my best to keep my rage at a minimum.
This is what I get for starting a post, doing some stuff, then previewing, then doing more stuff, and posting.
I agree… you guys were fools for supporting a Marxist like Kerry.
If there is a next time. I consider the damage to be far beyond a “we’ll get 'em next time kiddo” scenario.
I fear that we just missed our best chance to “bump” the country in a different direction. Every single thing Bush and his cohorts have done in the past 3 1/2 years just got a HUGE stamp of approval, and now the trend will strengthen.
This country has jumped the shark folks.
How about Wreck Beach, Oka, and Hanlan’s Point? Gay/gay friendly nudist beaches within short distance of Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto respectively.
Great peace have they which love thy law, and nothing shall offend them. - Psalm 119:165
You don’t have to like me. You are all strangers to me, so it really doesn’t affect me whether you like me or not.
Sorry to step into your liberal echo-chamber and invoke God’s name. But as long as the free exercise clause is in the Constitution, that is my right.
The fact that it offends you says more about you than it does about me.
In a pickup truck.
Oh, yes, great. . .I can’t wait to go give up my life in Iraq now that we have four more years of this fucking mess to deal with. . .stay the course, indeed
[sub]Here’s to hoping college and grad school are enough to gain a deferment.[/sub]
Sure you have “the right” to say something, but sometimes decorum suggests you don’t exercise it.
I could, for example, say that god doesn’t exist and anyone who believes in an invisble person is totally insane, but it would have been better if I left that unsaid.
That’s me staying out of America for 4 years then…
Actually, this is a privately owned message board, so First Amendment protections don’t apply. It’s not the “God” bit, it’s inappropriate psot in the wrong forum. That should go in GD
It’s not the “God” bit; it’s that you are deliberately posting to goad a reaction.
More of your graciousness? And you wonder why you keep losing.
Ten states banned SSM, so I’m plumb out of gracious right now. When you can admire Andrew Jackson as a great president, then I’ll admire Bush. Until then, shut it.
Yeah, it’s inconceivable that someone actually could thank God because, um, they’re grateful to Him. Meanwhile, “Christian Al Qaeda crowd” was some innocent, non-goading factual statement, I guess.
Ten states banned SSM, so I’m plumb out of gracious right now. I already did the polite “hands acxross the net thing,” now I’m back to being the opposition.
When you can admire Andrew Jackson as a great president, then I’ll admire Bush. Until then, shut it.
Join me, brothers and sisters, in sawing Florida off of our fucking country and holding up a giant red arrow pointing directly at Ohio.
He’s not my president.
