Maybe. Why don’t you go ahead and join the chorus of Gobear, Eve, and others who ridicule his faith and mock his God. Go ahead and blame him for your own pathetic inability to formulate properly a public relations appeal. Scream “homophobic asshole!” at him just because he doesn’t immediately throw out his whole worldview that has been instilled in him since childhood. Keep being a jerk. Maybe the world will spontaneously turn upside down and your strategy will suddenly begin working.
Maybe he’s talking about the anti-gay state of Hawaii. :wally (him not you)
Show me one post where I did this. He’s the aggressor, not me.
You can’t deny he wants to disenfranchise gay and transgendered Americans—I couldn’t care less what his religion is, but when he uses it as a Holy War against Islam and gays . . .
And as long as this is a PRIVATELY OWNED message board, that ain’t your right, it’s a priveledge that is given to you by the Chicago Reader, fuckstick.
World Eater, that’s the thing. It’s not pie in the sky shit. Everybody who wants to talk about how Bush is going to run this country into the ground can either step up, or shut up.
You want change, but want someone else to make it happen for you, that’s bullshit. What’s more, all the energy that the Dems had came not from Kerry being a dynamic, viable candidate, but from the hatred of Bush.
Anyone who voted for Kerry just to remove Bush ought to be slapped alongside the head.
I don’t agree with Bush on 75% of his positions, but unless I stand up and act, Bush will run roughshod over me, and everyone else who does not agree. We need more squeaky wheels, my friend, to squeak in the ears of our elected officials. If you haven’t stood up in action, you’ve bent over for inaction.
Even though you may act, and stand up for what you believe, and do all that you can to get your message heard, you might not make a dent. That is the collateral damage of a representative republic. Those in the minority might be offended, that’s the way things work, no getting around it completely.
To gobear:
In response to Psycho Pirate, you say: “…you are deliberately posting to goad a reaction.” Really? No one ever routinely does that in the BBQ Pit? I am shocked, shocked. <snicker>
To World Eater:
In response to Psycho Pirate, you say: “…only a loser hangs around in a place they’re not wanted.” You must have been quite the playground bully in your youth. The fact is, it is easy to hang around in a forum where you are part of a large majority and have the safety of numbers. But when you are part of a small minority, entering a forum like this is a lot like swimming with piranhas. That takes guts.
Personally, I am not a very religious person, but I stand with Psycho Pirate. He has as much right as anyone to share this forum and there is plenty of room for his point of view.

No, you can’t, but it’s a numbers game, wouldn’t you agree? If there are more of the religious right than gay and transgendered, who vote, then those are the people I’m leaning to, and on to win if I’m Bush. Kerry tried the other way, and leaned on the liberals, and it got his ass handed to him by several million votes.
Frankly Kerry could have spoke in tongues the entire campaign and still should have one.
btw your talking to a former republican who was happy when Bush pulled through in 2000.
*won
Too bad you think so. Given that I opened a thread to, not very successfully, rise above my anger and congratulate the Pubs, I like to think I might be given the benefit of the doubt.
And yet you say nothing about his first post using God to taunt us. You’re such a filthy hypocrite. Religious aggression is good, and resisting theocractic mockery is “mocking.”
Well said. I’m with you.
And we also have the right to tell him and his ilk to go fuck themselves with rusty pocket knives.
You know what, Liberal? Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. I asked you a serious question, and you responded with with this vitriol. Someday you’ll figure out that shit like this is the reason 3/4 of the people here think you’re batshit insane. Of course, you’ll forget it the day after you figure it out, and go right back to flinging feces around your habitat, and biting the brains of people who try to understand you. I hope that you, at least, get something out of this behavior, because nobody else does.
Yeahhh… posting to a messageboard takes, um, guts.
Which only proves what an intolerant hateful person you are.
On to better things: Do these results not show that America really IS conservative?
Its a democracy and they are apoparently the majority.
Not much we can do about it.
Maybe the pendulum will swing back eventually.
. . . being gay, transgendered, atheist, Muslim, Jew or agnostic in Bush’s U.S.
I’m with vanilla with this one.
This is unseemly and unlike you, Guin. I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but you needn’t be so nasty. It isn’t going to help anything.
Heh. If I may return a favor, gobear, may I remind you that arguing with an insane sphincter is just going to end up getting you covered in shit?
While my hopes for our country crumble around me, it’s nice to know that Lib will continue representing Christ the way he always does.
Daniel
Point taken.
Don’t give up hope. To quote G’Kar, omy favoreite character form Babylon 5,
Despair is the enemy. As long as we can keep alive the ideals of a just society, hope always remains that we can get others to listen. Remember that the race was close; all that stood between Kerry and victory was for one state to switch its vote. This was not a landslide for Bush, but a very narrow win.
Our task is to get the center to return to their true American values, and in 2008 we will see a Democrat in the White House.
You’re fucking kidding me right? Maturity and class?
What goes around, comes around. Fuckhole.
Congrats W!
Here is a nice view of OUR country
