Kerry's record

Well, I’ll just keep that in mind when Qadgop the Mercotan is posting his helpful medical advice here.

I’ll just go into those threads and tell the posters jshore recommends everybody disregards him and logs on to WebMD.

Mr. Moto, I think you missed the point of jshore’s comment.

If QtM were providing posters with medical advice that seemed to contradict “reputable sources on the web”, I would like to think that QtM would not take it personally if doubts arose on his medical opinion. In fact, in some of his posts, I get the impression that QtM doesn’t really want his posts on the SDMB to be the “end all, be all” medical advice someone seeks. Most of the time he will tell them to see their physician, or whatever.

You do understand that people have to be inherently “suspicious” (for lack of a better word) about claims on a message board. And when we see a claim that seems to contradict other sources, it’s prefectly normal to ask “Why?” It’s not necessarily anything personal.

Hint to Mr. Moto: Qadgop isn’t the one with the credibility problem.

What’s my credibility problem?

I have worked for many years in the Tomahawk program. This is not a job someone lies about to score chicks.

Nuclear Tomahawks are no longer placed on surface ships or submarines, as per treaty obligations. The missiles are in storage.

Cite.

These nice people seem to think the missiles could be redeployed if necessary.

Hello, hello! Anybody out there? xtisme, John Mace? Since I did my best to respond to your questions about what John Kerry’s actual record in the Senate is, as well as outlining my interpretation of his “principles” and “beliefs,” I’d be most curious as to your response.

I appreciate your input Shayna…sorry I didn’t respond earlier. I was mostly passive in this thread because I currently am almost constantly away on travel so I can only nip in occationally to threads that interest me, and have zero time for any kind of meaningful research. My appologies.

What I got out of this thread was that Kerry has things about his senatorial record he is proud of (and certainly seem to be pluses for him, at least with my cursory examination of the cites provided by you and others). My question would be, why in gods name hasn’t Kerry’s campaign focused on getting this message out, and instead pretty much allowed the Republicans to define Kerry’s record?? At the DNC I heard almost nothing of Kerry’s record as a Senator…something would be key to answering the question of who this Kerry guy is, and why he’s qualified to be president. Least thats how I would see it. Certainly the Republicans spent a great deal of their time defining Kerry’s record FOR him…possibly with devastating consequences.

I suppose the debates will be the make or break time for both candidates. If Kerry is smart and if he is as proud of his record as a Senator as you are portraying him, he would be wise to really focus on his record, especially if they ask him questions like “Why do you think you are qualified to be President?”.
