For me he was Batman. Even when I read the comics I hear his voice. RIP
(One caveat. I saw this news on Twitter. With the current chaos there there is a slight chance this was a hoax but I don’t think so).

It was apparently confirmed by another actor on Facebook but I’m still taking it with salt.
Twitter is no longer a reliable source of information, as far as I can tell.
Multiple news sources are confirming Conroy’s death.
RIP Kevin.
“I am Vengeance! I am the Night! I am Batman!”
He and Mark Hamill elevated the Arkham games from merely excellent to one of the best sets of video games of all time.
I had no idea he was ill. Wikipedia now says that it was cancer, but I haven’t seen any confirmation otherwise.
Something that I didn’t know until recently (I knew him as Batman, of course, but I don’t remember seeing him in anything else beforehand) was that he was gay. He wrote a very personal story about it for a DC pride comic.
He was the greatest Batman of all. If you disgree with that statement, you are simply wrong.
This is very sad news. I’m going to go and rewatch B:TAS and JL/JLU.
I am glad that he did get to portray Batman once in live action.
Don’t forget Batman Beyond!
-Pops some popcorn, clicks over to Plex server, and ques up B:TAS and Batman Beyond-
There goes one of the greats.
-Lifts a glass in tribute as well-
I remember him as the Captain in Tour of Duty, a good series that rapidly went downhill in its second season.
I only have one Batman Beyond DVD with 4 episodes. I need to look for the full series.
A great example of a series I didn’t want that I ended up being so happy exists.
Truth.
Checks back in.
In honor of Kevin Conroy I’m re-ripping my 4 boxed sets of B:TAS because they are too interlaced. He deserves better.
Yes, Conroy was Batman. RIP Caped Crusader.
