The song, that is. Until after the World Series, and maybe longer, if the Royals win.
One hopes that radio stations in Kansas City will likewise be banning songs by They Might Be Giants.
What other songs could be banned, depending on sports fandom?

Well, the Giants themselves should ban "Don’t Stop Believin’ " as their theme song because it’s such a monumental piece of shit.
I posted this exact same thing on Facebook this morning! GMTA ![]()
They Might Be Giants stole their name from a movie, its own title taken from Don Quixote, and not the baseball team. Royals, despite being by a Kiwi, **is **taken at least partially from the baseball team.
ETA: Ninja’d.
KC jazz stations could shelve Giant Steps for the duration.
The SF classical stations probably won’t play Music for the Royal Fireworks, or even PDQB’s Royal Firewater Music.
The Bay Area probably won’t see any Crown Royal ads.
Products named Little Giant or Lil’ Giant won’t sell well in the heartland.
The Royals, alas, have no players named Jack. Two named John who would do in a (heh, heh) pinch.
Giants in five, BTW.
I should think they’d be playing the hell out of a song with the chorus “We’ll never be royals.” :smack:

Besides, the White Sox adopted it back in 2005 (and I wouldn’t be surprised if some other sports team did before that.) Find your own song! (And it’s a solid early 80s rocker.)
