Kids have started watching Star Trek TOS and like it

It is implied that there is some sort of subspace telepathy with Vulcans. Remember that Spock “felt” when the spaceship of Vulcans was eaten. (The Immunity Syndrome)

Not eaten, Johnny. Consumed. For their energy.

That counts as eaten. By a giant space amoeba. Named Phil.

Voyager is as non-canonical as Enterprise, which is as non-canonical as the porn I wrote in 9th grade making Uhura and Sulu lesbian lovers.

It’s awesome that the next generation is enjoying the original. I am starting to fill in the gaps in my ST viewing. I never saw the last two seasons of TNG, or the last few seasons of Voyager, or any of DS9. I’ve seen all of TOS and Enterprise.
Netflix has all the series on instant watch, so I’ve started TNG from the beginning, and I’ll start DS9 at some point. Then I may have to finish out Voyager, because I’ve become a completist. Oh, and there’s the animated series, too…

Last two seasons of TNG have some of their best. And some of their worst.

You must watch all of every Trek. Take notes. Drink heavily.

Wait, weren’t you just saying in another thread that “female lesbians” was redundant?

That’s the important part.

I have seen the ST:Voyager episode, Threshold, so I’m aware of how bad things can get.

Pretend you’ve already seen it, and drank so heavily that you don’t remember.

It is for the best.

“Is that a salamander in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? Maximum thrusters, Mr Paris!”

“Oh Captain, my captain!”

Finally! This is the episode where we learn of the Fannish mating ritual.

I am ready to dock, open the bay doors wide.

Full forward thrusters

Firing photon torpedos in 3…2…1

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Have a clean up crew come to holodeck 3.

I remember seeing “Threshold” for the first time last winter. My immediate reaction was, “WTF was that all about?!?” :dubious:

After reading the page devoted to it at Memory Alpha, I realize now it was even more bizarre than I imagined. :smack:

I preferred the animated ep where Kirk & Co. were turned into newts. The Ambergris Element
They got better.

yes, I know, not newts, rather “water breathers.” But it works as a joke for geeks because of Monty Python and Trekkie-ism. Trekker -ists are an odd lot

I…
