Vanilla Ice played the local under-age music club here in Burlington. I was working for a modern rock station at the time. They asked to be put on the daily events calendar. I was producing the events calendar, and said something about “He ain’t ripping off Queen any more, kids.” After it aired, I considered the fact that he probably has a lot of rage built up, and maybe insulting him on the air wasn’t the best idea.
On a related topic: there’s a C in “kick.” Just like “quick” isn’t spelled “kwik”, “quik” or any other variation. And “photo” isn’t spelled “foto.” Sheesh.
