I would like to know why now 2 threads about “inhaling” have been killed in the GQ forum. Both IMO were perfecty legitimate questions. Afterall, there is smoking like one would do a cigar, where you generally do not inhale, there is smoking where you get the smoke in your mouth, then inhale, and for those in for a real pain in the lungs, a direct inhale. Of each, they are more then legitamate to talk about, and certainly something that could be exlplored.

Considering a recent post by Cecil himself about certain bugs eating away at a users pot plants, I would see no reason why a mod could stop a thread such as this. There are numerous threads about drugs in these forums, and those are admitedly illegal, and gaining advice from these threads on how to better a illegal operation. Certainly there is nothing illegal about inhaling, let alone asking a question about it.
If I wanted to post a thread entitled “I want to start smoking, how?” I should be more than able to post such a thread. I obviously have my heart set on it, and no matter what this board does about it, I will persue it. Why not get some good advice on it. perhaps the advice itself would turn me off of the idea alltogether, you never know. Either way, it is not the job of the mod to make this decision, the question was about smoking, and as best as I can recall, there was nothing more specific about it that that. Could have been wanting to learn about smoking herbs for medicinal purposes.
Mr Duck, while I can now see that the 3 posts are definately leaning on the side of “how do I get stoned” that to me does not mean that the thread should be killed. In all honesty, I think the 3 threads would only be 1 if it had been left open, and perhaps someone would have just answered the question or refered them to a site that could. For the record, I do not smoke illegal substances and am not condoning it. However, I have seen threads on these boards that go far beyond this particualar post, flat out admiting involvement in illegal acts. One thread on how to make cocaine comes to mind as well. Not to mention that the fda.gov site has borderline step by step instructions on how to manufacture it.
I see your point on “cleanup on Aisle 5” as well, but I dont think the spill would have happened if the first item dropped could have just been picked up and put back on the shelf
Perhaps a more appropriate title would allow the thread to live on…ie: physics of inhaling…but I just think it is dumb that we have to play symantecs with titles.
