A movie released in the 1990s/early 2000s (I think) was created by shooting live action, and then animating over every frame. My google-fu is weak and I can’t find the title of it. In case it would be helpful to have some plot details. . .
Shortly after the movie opens, the protagonist is hit by a car. We are led to believe that he survives and the plot goes on with his life, but well into the movie we find that he is dead. The movie ends with him floating up to the sky.
I remember having some lucid dreams after watching that movie. One I specifically remember is where I was playing Scrabble and the words kept changing every time I looked at the board (the example used in the movie was having the time change every time you look at a clock).
