King of the Jungle Reality Show--What Happened to the Winner?

A few years ago, there was this reality shoe, “King of the Jungle,” where the winner would get their own show, like Crocodile Hunter or he Jeff Corwin Experience, etc.

As I recall, the winner int he first (only?) series was a lady. But to this date, I have NOT seen her in her own show.

Maybe I just don’t watch enough Discovery channel or whatever, but I have not seen her promised show.

Can someone set me straight on this? What happened? I know I probably just missed it, so feel free to be snarky at my stupidity.

I remember the reality show, but I don’t know what happened with the winner either. :confused: Maybe they are working on ideas, or maybe she’s finishing school? Wasn’t the winner still getting her career? I can’t find any mention of it in a search, except that according to a blog entry, apparently there was at one point a King of the Jungle 2. I can’t find it on the Animal Planet site either. Maybe there is litigation of some kind? Wikipedia appears to be down atm as well.

Thanks for the reply. You now know my frustration, as I haven’t been able to find anything of substance, either, despite a lot of searching (yes, I really did search before posting).

I do think you got one thing right that I missed. I think it was on Animal Planet like you said, not Discovery or something.

I just hate it when things that I find interesting drop completely off the radar after a lot of promotion & hype.

If I remember correctly, I don’t think she got her own SERIES… I remember seeing her have a one-shot special filmed in Africa. Sort of misleading.

Season 2 they messed around with the formula of the show, and I didn’t watch it all the way thru; I don’t even know if they FINISHED season 2 out.

As a minor hijack, in the summer of 2004, I went to a really neat place in Florida called Amazing Exotics, and got to spend an hour one-on-one with an 8 month old Bengal tiger named Hollywood. He was the brother to the white tiger they used in Season 1 of King of the Jungle. My brush with greatness. :stuck_out_tongue:
