This weekend, I was driving with a friend and another friend’s 15-year-old son. The couple in the car in front of us were playing kissyface all the way down the interstate, and eventually the driver ended up swerving rather dangerously (and we could be quite certain there was no … ahem … roadside service going on). My friend’s son, master of the obvious, shouts out “Your love will kill us all!!!”
It was really funny, at the time.

Most of the time, closed; but there’s something very sexy and intimate about looking in one another’s eyes while kissing. So sometimes we do it that way, too.
Also, our “good morning” kiss tends to be quick (morning breath, dontchaknow?) and eyes open.

When I first started dating my SO, I couldn’t dream of kissing with my eyes open. I was too nervous and uptight, but it seemed to bother him. Neither of us has any self esteem, and he worried that I might be kissing him, but thinking of someone else. So one night I was brave and opened my eyes and realized that looking into his eyes was much more romantic. Now it’s mostly open, but sometimes closed.

Mostly closed, because that way I really feel it and can get totally lost in the kiss. You know, having the whole world disappear around me…
But I have to peek sometimes, just to check that he’s doing the same. And because he’s so damn cute I can’t stand going too long without looking at him.
Usually open…especially if it’s during sex. Try it next time for a change if you close your eyes. It makes the whole experience more intense.
Now if I’m kissing my Mother, I usually close my eyes.

I never had the nerve to post this question, but I’m glad someone else did! I really like to keep my eyes open the whole time I’m kissing, but I sometimes force myself to close them, because it might freak my partner out when when my eyes roll up and only the whites are showing. (and yes, I did get a comment about this once.) I think it’s nice to kiss someone whose eyes are closed, but I personally don’t like the way it feels when I do it.
How many people are bothered when their partner keeps his or her eyes open?
Closed. But every once in a while, I’ll open them just to see what’s going on.

Ewwww. I had one person do that with me, and I couldn’t do anything without thinking “is he looking at me? eww.” It’s not anything personal against your partner. I just don’t like being looked at that close up.
I, personally, always kiss with my eyes closed. Open is just too creepy for words.
