Kit Kats are the best candy bar.

  1. M&M Bar
  2. Wonka Bar
  3. Lindt Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate
  4. 100K Bar
  5. Oh Henry

Honorable Mention: Marathon/Curly Wurly

The OP is correct - I just wondered why it needed to be said. It’s humanly impossible to disagree.

Chomp is the closest runner-up (and again - everyone already knows that).

I just had another one today which confirms they are the best. Hopefully that clears up any confusion.

Easily my favorite but it gives me acid reflux for about a week. Though to be fair, that’s true for most of the concoctions mentioned. Give me a 95% Lindt dark chocolate bar and I’m good.

I’m willing to count Reese’s peanut butter cups as a candy bar, if I can also include:

  1. Whoppers (the malted milk balls), and
  2. Trader Joe’s dark chocolate sticks with the orange filling, though I still miss their chocolate raspberry sticks.

I like a little bit of crunch in my candy bars, but not a hard crunch - no nuts. (Unless it’s dark chocolate, which doesn’t need that sort of boost.) And I really don’t like the gooey ones, the ones with caramel and nougat and stuff. You can keep your Snickers and Milky Way.

So, in no particular order, my favorites:

Heath bars
Kit-Kat
Whoppers
Hershey’s Krackel (release the Krackel! ;))
TJ’s dark chocolate orange sticks

And the occasional Nestle’s Crunch. (Bought a Nestle’s Crunch chocolate rabbit at Easter. It was great.)

Time was that Reese’s PB cups would have been in that list, but I had to cut back on them as I got older because they’re serious fat pills. And now they’ve mostly got too rich a taste for my taste buds. But every now and then, one of them just hits the spot.

wtf is chomp? well ok other than pac-mans dog in a cartoon

well, you’ve cleared up my confusion about you being delusional …:p:D

I was at TJ yesterday and no chocolate sticks at all with any flavor filling. Sigh. I hope it was temporary but no one seemed to know.

Bummer! I’d had a pretty good stockpile, but I finally finished my last bag of them a week ago. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow if the Annapolis TJ’s still has any left.

Just a standard caramel/wafer/chocolate bar. They were a good size - 30gms vs most standard bars are 45-50 gms and only cost about 1/2 to 2/3rds the price. Also very long and thin, so you could make them last a long time (I’m talking about 8-year olds here). As a result were sold a lot at school tuck shops and corner stores to kids who could only find a few coins lying around. A lot of us got addicted at an early age :).

I notice (doing a quick bit of googling) that they seem to only be sold in Aus and the UK.

sounds like a cross between twix and kit-kats

Japan has dedicated KitKat stores … and so many fantastic sounding flavors sigh
While I now tend to avoid a lot of different candies/cookies/whatever thanks to the invasion of palm oil, I have fond memories of tim-tams and musk lifesavers/sticks from Down Under, Cadbury Flake and Aero bars, and for American I have this odd liking for the classic Sky Bar, I just loved the 4 different fillings, and Reeses peanut butter cups. Those I am going to have to start making for myself now they have gone to the dark side of using palm oil sigh
