I am re-doing my kitchen and am looking for an easy to use program that I can input room dimensions and move ‘blocks’ of cabinets and appliances around to see where things are.
Freeware would be idea but I’m not above paying for a good program (a trial version would be nice)
Also I would like the ability to see the design in 3d from any angle. It would help if it flags any design errors (i.e. not enough room for a dishwasher)

I can’t reccomend one, but I know that places like Best Buy have $10 CD sections with lots of programs like that. It’s not too fancy but it’s cheap and a step above freeware. I picked one up for my mom a few years ago and I just threw it away yesterday (she has her new kitchen now…) because it was way old.

I dunno, k2dave - this freeware program might work for you. You can do a bit with it, even if it is not very advanced:
DesignWorkshop Lite

how DID people live before computers?

Is there an answer to a General Question here, or is it an exploration in irony as someone posts on an Internet message board about the good old days before computers…?
